RTI International - Job Vacancies
RTI International in collaboration with Plan International and other partners will be implementing a 4-year USAID funded Effective Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (E-WASH) project.
E-WASH will provide technical assistance program working in collaboration with state governments to improve urban water service delivery by strengthening the governance, financial, and technical viability of six (6) state water boards (SWBs) in Nigeria. The overall goal is improvement of urban water and sanitation service delivery.

Application open for the International Leaders in Urban Governance Programme for African countries (27-31 August 2018 in Singapore)
The programme is jointly organized between the Government of Singapore and UN-HABITAT and encourages mayors, governors, heads of metropolitan regions and provincial governments, policy makers, decision-makers, senior urban practitioners and officials from rapidly urbanizing African cities to attend.
The programme offers a unique opportunity to get ‘hands-on’ experience of Singapore’s successful urban practices and model of urban transformation through site visits, peer-to-peer dialogue and action planning. Participants also receive backstopping from senior practitioners from UN-Habitat and the Government of Singapore in the formulation, development and follow-up of action plans on priority urban challenges for their cities.

The Rotary Foundation and the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education have teamed up to tackle the world’s water and sanitation crisis by increasing the number of trained professionals to devise, plan, and implement solutions in developing and emerging countries. Through this partnership, The Rotary Foundation will provide grants to Rotary clubs and districts to select and sponsor a limited number of students each year.

Scholarship value/inclusions:
TRF awards scholarships of approximately €34,000, paid directly to UNESCO-IHE. Funding to cover additional costs (including international travel) related to participation in the academic program will be coordinated by UNESCO-IHE.
Eligibility:
Students eligible for this scholarship must be provisionally admitted to eligible degree programs at UNESCO-IHE (see above). Students must also live or work near a Rotary club.
Application instructions:
Applications submitted directly to The Rotary Foundation by the student will not be considered. Students provisionally admitted to one of the three eligible UNESCO-IHE academic programs will need to seek the sponsorship of their local Rotary club or district. Completed applications must be received by The Rotary Foundation from sponsor Rotarians no later than 15 June of the year in which studies begin.
