RTI International - Job Vacancies
RTI International in collaboration with Plan International and other partners will be implementing a 4-year USAID funded Effective Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (E-WASH) project.
E-WASH will provide technical assistance program working in collaboration with state governments to improve urban water service delivery by strengthening the governance, financial, and technical viability of six (6) state water boards (SWBs) in Nigeria. The overall goal is improvement of urban water and sanitation service delivery.

1. Certificate in Water Resources Engineering Technology.
a. Candidate must have attempted WAEC or GCE in the sciences
b. Craftsmen must have had at least three years experiences in Water related establishment
c. Assistant works Superintendent Certificate (AWS).
2. Advanced Diploma in Hydrogeology.
a. Water Resources Engineering Technology.
b. Civil Engineering Technology.
c. Mechanical Engineering.
e. Geography and Irrigation Engineering Technology.
3. National Diploma in Water Resources Engineering Technology.
a. Applicants with the following qualifications maybe considered for admission into the National Diploma Program through JAMB with a minimum cut off mark of 120 .
b. At least % credit passes of which should include Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry and one other science subject (i.e. Biology, Agricultural Science, Geography and Economics) in S.S.C.E or its equivalent (NTC,WASC,GCE,NECO) at no more than two stings.
c. In addition credit or pass in any of the following subjects will be an advantage; Wood Work, Metal Work, Auto-mechanics, Basic Electronic and Basic Electricity, Building Construction, Technical Drawing and Fine Art.
4. Higher National Diploma in Water Resources Engineering Technology.
a. Applicant with the following qualifications may be considered for Admission into Higher National Diploma Program by Direct Entry
b. National Diploma in Water Resources Engineering/ Civil Engineering, Irrigation Engineering or Agricultural Engineering & Bio-Engineering Technology with a minimum of Lower Credit Pass, and
c. A minimum of one year Post-National Diploma cognate work experience in the field of Engineering as stated above obtained from a Polytechnic accredited by the National Board for Technical Education.
d. In addition candidates must have satisfied the basic requirement for Admission into the National Diploma Program.
Application form costs N3, 000.00 only for all Programs except for National Diploma in Water Resources Engineering Technology which is N2, 000.00 only.
Application open for the International Leaders in Urban Governance Programme for African countries (27-31 August 2018 in Singapore)
The programme is jointly organized between the Government of Singapore and UN-HABITAT and encourages mayors, governors, heads of metropolitan regions and provincial governments, policy makers, decision-makers, senior urban practitioners and officials from rapidly urbanizing African cities to attend.
The programme offers a unique opportunity to get ‘hands-on’ experience of Singapore’s successful urban practices and model of urban transformation through site visits, peer-to-peer dialogue and action planning. Participants also receive backstopping from senior practitioners from UN-Habitat and the Government of Singapore in the formulation, development and follow-up of action plans on priority urban challenges for their cities.
The Government of Singapore sponsors programme fees, accommodation, per diem, hospitalization insurance, local airport transfers, and daily transfers to and from the training venue for the duration of the programme. Participants are responsible to cover the costs of their return airfare, visa fees and insurance.

The programme is led by the Capacity Development Unit of UN-Habitat in collaboration with the Center of Liveable Cities of Singapore. Interested candidates from the eligible countries may submit completed application form by 30 June 2018.
Rotary Scholarships for Water and Sanitation Professionals
Deadline: 15 June 2018 (annual) Study in: Netherlands Course starts Oct 2018
The Rotary Foundation and the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education have teamed up to tackle the world’s water and sanitation crisis by increasing the number of trained professionals to devise, plan, and implement solutions in developing and emerging countries. Through this partnership, The Rotary Foundation will provide grants to Rotary clubs and districts to select and sponsor a limited number of students each year.
UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education, The Netherlands
TRF awards scholarships of approximately €34,000, paid directly to UNESCO-IHE. Funding to cover additional costs (including international travel) related to participation in the academic program will be coordinated by UNESCO-IHE.
Students eligible for this scholarship must be provisionally admitted to eligible degree programs at UNESCO-IHE (see above). Students must also live or work near a Rotary club.
Applications submitted directly to The Rotary Foundation by the student will not be considered. Students provisionally admitted to one of the three eligible UNESCO-IHE academic programs will need to seek the sponsorship of their local Rotary club or district. Completed applications must be received by The Rotary Foundation from sponsor Rotarians no later than 15 June of the year in which studies begin.
