We are a group of professionals with vested interests in urban* Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), in improving the delivery of basic services (water and sanitation) in Nigeria, and in accelerating reforms in this sector.

Our focus is on triggering improvement in the following key thematic areas:

What We Do

We promote learning through in-person interactions (meetings and workshops), and through virtual interactions (virtual meetings and an online platform).

Vision

Our vision is to be a preferred platform for peer learning, sharing of knowledge, and best practices to improve services in urban Water Supply Sanitation and Hygiene in Nigeria.

Purpose

The Community of Practice for Urban WASH has a dual purpose, (i) to provide readily accessible and appropriate information and tools for sector practitioners; and (ii) to create awareness on Urban WASH solutions as well as engage citizens for feedback on service performance.

Objectives

The CoP is organized to achieve the following:

  • Provide readily accessible and appropriate information and tools for sector practitioners;
  • Create awareness on Urban WASH solutions;
  • Provide access to capacity development opportunities in the sector; and
  • Engage citizens for feedback on service performance
